These complaints reportedly “range from allegations of sexual harassment to more serious wrongdoing”, but the Sunday Times said that in many cases the claims are “yet to be corroborated”. Last month, the Sunday Times revealed 56 MPs are facing allegations of sexual misconduct, after parliament’s Independent Complaints and Grievance Scheme has received around 70 complaints. The week before that an unnamed Tory MP was arrested on suspicion of rape and sexual assault offences over a seven-year period and last month a former Tory MP resigned, admitting he had watched porn twice in Parliament. It’s also been reported this week that a senior Tory MP has been accused of spiking four people with date rape drugs.

This week, a former Tory MP was jailed for 18 months after being convicted of sexually assaulting a teenage boy.
